We already talked about long-term ways to cope with an anxiety.
Your strategy should start with identifying what makes you anxious. You can do it by yourself or with the help of a therapist. Keep in mind, that it can be simple triggers, like caffeine or alcohol or some long-term problems.
Once you identify the ‘enemy’, you can choose your general strategy:
- minimize exposure to your triggers, if you can (e.g. try to limit caffeine or time driving);
- use some coping techniques, if they are caused by your genetics or the environment or the work factors which you can’t change.
