Do you remember our discussion about managing conflicts? So, you already know that collaboration is usually the best way of solving the problem. But, as with any other strategy, it has its pitfalls:
collaboration requires a commitment from all parties to look for a mutually acceptable solution,
collaboration may require more effort and more time than some other methods,
a win-win solution may not be evident,
once one or more parties lose their trust in an opponent, the relationship falls back to other methods of conflict resolution.
These caveats don’t make this strategy weaker. But we have to keep them in mind
ย when choosing the way of managing the conflict.
