Surviving The Pre-Christmas Rush

The time before Christmas is so emotional! It’s full of joy, fun, beauty, and … stress. We are trying to choose the best gifts for people we love, decorate our house, plan the family dinner, and usually feel a lack of time and some uncertainty. This year we saved some time buying online but received a smaller portion of pre-Christmas mood.
What can you do?

  • plan your pre-holiday tasks just as you plan your work,
  • take time for fun and pleasure, do not plunge headlong into this rush,
  • share the planning load,
  • try not to be a perfectionist as it’s not a competition,
  • feel your feelings to acknowledge emotions and cope with them.
