5 Whys

Have you ever faced a problem that seems to be solved, but it turns back? If the problem is repetitive, you didn’t get to the root of it. You are only coping with the consequences.

5 Whys technique helps you to go deeper. All you have to do is to:

  • describe the problem properly,
  • ask Why the problem happens and write the answer down below the problem,
  • ask Why again and write that answer down,
  • repeat until you found the root of the problem.

Usually, 5 Whys are enough, but sometimes it can take a little more or fewer positions. Are you ready to start the new year with new insights?
