What Makes You Happy?

When you are angry or sad, you can easily forget most things that make you happy. How often do you cheer yourself up with a delicious cake, shopping, or alcohol? Another way to care for your mind is … to broaden the definition of happiness.
When our mind is calm, we notice the small things that make us grateful, amplifying our awareness of moments of kindness, decency, and thoughtfulness, leading us toward becoming happier.
Start with small steps. Write down at least 20 things that make you happy. The next time you feel sad, try something from this list instead of turning to emotional eating. Let your list of things that bring you happiness grow longer every day!
