- Put away your phone for 5 minutes and observe your surroundings – sounds, textures, colours.
- Stretch gently or walk slowly for a few minutes, paying attention to each movement.
- Journal a quick note: “What’s one small thing I appreciated today?”
- Brew a cup of tea or coffee, savour the aroma, then take a single mindful sip.
- Do a 2-minute body scan: notice tension, breathe in, breathe out, and release.
- Light a candle or dim the lights, and listen to one of your favourite songs or a short playlist.
Start with one ritual at a time, on a consistent cue (like after waking or before bed). Consistency beats intensity.
