Reframe Problems

We are sure you know the phrase: “Accept what you can’t change.” But do you have any idea how to do it? Let’s talk about some ways to lower stress and accept unpleasant situations.
First of all, try to view stressful situations from a more positive perspective. Rather than fuming about a traffic jam, look at it as an opportunity to pause and regroup, listen to your favourite radio station, or enjoy some alone time.
Be in the present moment. When we are anxious or worried, our minds tend to wander to concern about the future. Go back to here and now.
Open up to feelings and uncertainty. It is critically important to discriminate what is or is not in our control and to learn to control what we can and let go of the rest, including the need for things to feel or be different.
And last but not least. Do what matters, and focus on your values.
