

When dealing with anxiety, take a step back and assess how you commonly react to the situation. Some people try to isolate from others, or make impulsive purchases, or turn to emotional eating or alcohol to de-stress to feel better.
Unhealthy ways of coping with anxiety may provide short-term relief but worsen the problem over time. Recognizing them is the first step towards finding healthier and more effective ways of dealing with complex and distressing emotions.
